CONCERNED RESIDENTS MEET WITH CITY COUNCILOR JOHN ODOM

January 15, 2014
More than 125 residents of the Falls of Neuse Corridor meet with Raleigh City Councilor, John Odom, to express concerns about the request for rezoning that calls for 75,000 square feet of retail space. More than 2300 have signed petitions in support of current zoning. Residents have also filed a Valid Statutory Protest Petition that will require Raleigh City Council to pass rezoning with a supermajority vote. Rezoning for the proposed strip mall will forever damage the character of the Falls of Neuse corridor, Raleigh’s scenic northern gateway and home of Falls Dam, The Falls Lake Recreation Area, the Annie Wilkerson Nature Preserve, the Neuse River, and the Neuse River Greenway.
