Today we filed a protest petition against the City’s proposed remapping of Dunn Rd property to NX.
If the Council does not rezone the property under Z-1-14, then the City could proceed to remap two lots on Dunn Rd. from Buffered Commercial (BC, the current zoning) to NX under the new UDO. We have been arguing that the appropriate remapping should be to OX because that will maintain several important conditions of BC that NX eliminates.
Because remapping is, in fact, a rezoning with the case number Z-27-14, we see no reason why we cannot file a protest petition that will require a supermajority vote of City Council to rezone the property in question under this rezoning action. To that end, today we filed the appropriate petition with the City Clerk.
